Dynamite Group Dynamics

The
CHALLENGE

The company's reality dictated that a new way of doing business was required for growth.  Project Management needed to establish, encourage, and communicate to the workforce, the operational challenges the facility was going to experience. The concept of SAP processes were unfamiliar, misunderstood and unsettling.  With a reluctant workforce, communication and training was key in establishing trust and adaptation.

The
SOLUTION

Hard copy newsletters and a digital slide show provide both production and office staff with a cohesive view of the weeks progress.  Media outlets supplied staff with updates and milestone achievements during the transition.  Staff quotes and personal stories of team members showcased the process and depicted that common experiences were being shared amongst departments.

SIMPLE ACT ~  BUT BIG MEANING

Picture

Who knew there is a day dedicated to not wearing a bra.
Many women around the world, or at least in North America, would never dream of taking their brasseries off in a public, nor relishing leaving for work without one.  But, rest assured, this day does exist.
Wishing to create a buzz around the marketing services of Virtual Pinch Hitter and sparked by the connection of meeting Joni Banks, an owner of a mastectomy & medical garment service, a vision was created.
My Aunt Sue had passed away from breast cancer in 2010.  It was a consistent guessing game by family members as to what shade of red hair dye she would be sporting at the next clan gathering.  Not being a red head by nature, she spent considerable money on finding wigs that made her feel like nothing had changed when she developed cancer.  This was despite chemotherapy laying claim to her trademark and losing her hair.
With the loss of my biggest cheerleader, it was only fitting that the event “No Bra Day Bust Out” would be positioned to raise money to help support the Wig Room Care Centre of Knox Church.  Through this amazing organization, head coverings are purchased and rented to woman who do not have the monetary means to purchase wigs during their chemotherapy treatments and recovery.
With four weeks to brainstorm, create, rally, inspire and fundraise,  Benefittings and Virtual Pinch Hitter convinced over 30 women to attend an event where taking off your bra at a public event can be a celebratory experience in a fun and safe environment.

The event was successful in raising awareness to issues surrounding breast health by a guest speaker and Naturopath Doctor.  The benefits of meditation in our daily lives was also demonstrated by a yoga instructor.  We were delighted in raising funds to purchase a new wig for the care centre through ticket sales, donations, and a silent auction.
From an idea to a vision, to a spark and then a flame, this special event created brand and community awareness while positively engaging participants in a dramatic behavioural change.

NEVER WALK ALONE

The
CHALLENGE

This client is also an animal lover and had a special relationship to Bonnie through a family connection.  With Bonnie's health deteriorating quickly, a home was desperately needed for Tabby and Sally.

The
SOLUTION

The client felt that the pictures, though of poor quality, were the most important aspect of promoting the need for a new home.  But our opinions differed.  With many feline friends being found at shelters, it was the severity of Bonnie's illness and her dedication to keeping her family together, that was key in finding the cats a forever home.

A verbal discussion revealed the details of the situation and my  text was written to compel readers to find the siblings a home.  Pictures have a tendency to attract a persons eye from the start, the writing was surrounded by a strong backdrop to entice readers to mentally process the description as well.
