We're Like Kids. Acknowledge it.

You’re on social media sites such as Linkedin for four reasons.

1. Be viewed as accepting of new ideas.
2. An authority in your chosen industry.
3. To increase your connections to drive sales.
4. And be dead candid with yourself…to get likes, shares and comments on all the above.

​In today’s society, adults still crave to be noticed and appreciated. For those with children, we recognize the impact that a hug and a high five can make to a child’s day. The demonstration that we are listening and acknowledging their achievements and disappointments speaks volumes to their self worth.

As adults, we are not different. We’re just taller.

With Valentine’s Day just hours away, I am not recommending that you dash about the office and dole out group hugs. But, if you appreciate the accomplishments of your team, employees and colleagues, dole out the kudos. The investment of a mere $20 and a trip to a local retailer for a sweet fix, will show the crew that you recognize you are not single handily in the quest for the almighty dollar. You will demonstrate your understanding of their collective effort.

Small gestures can reap great rewards.
